I am putting cash in my retirement accounts and buying stocks.
I also invest in human connection and friend-base building activities. Like - having a beer with a friend at the river.
I am investing in tinkering with my education and happy to brag about me being again a full time student, working on my 3rd degree and 3rd certification program, thank you very much.

I will have to do some upgrades to my bicycle. Tire rubber got used up a bit. LOL
My favorite investment and activity is taking my car to scheduled service appointments. I ride in gorgeous car and take excellent care of my beast. Wroom! Wroom! Catch me if you can!

I tried putting together a hobby related RC in Austin a couple years ago. Over 50 responses and commitments and one brother showed up. Hard to do a charity ride or a poker run with that kind of participation. However, if we could get some committed members together, we could do a toys for tots run or a charity ride to benefit the Elf Louise Project. That's a good way to spend money.

If I'm home in SA when you want to do this, I'll 100% do a run/ride for Elf Louise. I haven't listened to the annual radiothon since Marvin Rush passed, but hearing Mrs. Locker talk about why she started the charity and then Mr. Rush come in at the end to donate another 6 figures so their goal was reached shaped a young man's reasoning for wanting to make bank. Maybe we could get a couple of the lovely OH2 ladies to grace our 2up seats for the occasion. Mine vibrates (just saying)

If you're not already, consider stashing some cash for real estate. There's a "Big Short" level bubble waiting to burst, that everyone is ignoring.😏😉😏

Ever since Luxury in Dallas closed, and Malibu Linda is on an endless vacation I've been building 80% ARs and buying guns left and right. The gun hobby will forever be my go to money pit.

I keep working on my side business selling and cerakoting guns. I'll eventually buy another harley here soon as well. Guns and harleys expensive hobbies but at least I get a break on guns since I'm a dealer.

Just picked up a new project car - '68 El Camino SS basket.

Will be spending most of my cash on getting that back to like new condition.

That's been my go-to replacement, building out a special edition corvette.

As to the rest of the thread, yeah, real estate, guns, maybe stocks, though I see a nasty bubble pop looming, I've got long positions on a few companies, obviously, this doesn't constitute financial advice, as I'm a moron, but, Corning (glassware company, heavy in the smartphone industry) $GLW is a good choice, they're a little down, as is most of the market, but they pay decent dividends, and they're not going anywhere. General Electric has a long, slow gain history (barring a few hiccups, usually separated by decades), and pays decent dividends, increasing a lot recently.

Seriously though, this law is misguided and short-sighted. It's like fighting drugs by going to war with the soil, yes, without the soil, there won't be drugs, but, you're gonna get a lot more collateral damage than you are direct effect. Target pimps, and maybe hard drug dealers/traffickers. Not escorts, not clients.

I have not hobbied in Texas since the law passed. It is funny the things that a man can get done when he does not have sex on the brain. As far as stocks...with this supply chain shortage I have been having fun investing in weird stuff, but overall I am wary of the stock market at the moment. My favorite speculation stocks right now is the water desalinization industry. I certainly hope some manufacturing makes its way back to the US and Texas. I agree with Jsmith about real estate but prices wont drop until interest rates go up, and they are talking 2023-2024 before the feds pull the trigger on raising interest rates.
