Sting in waller county

My boy just got arrested in a sting in WALLER COUNTY on Wednesday, July 21st. He contacted the girl he saw on Listcrawler and went to the La Quinta in Brookshire.

They kept him/them in the Waller County jail for 48 hours under an "INVESTIGATIVE INJUNCTION" and denied them the ability to use the jailhouse phone to make sure that none of the individuals arrested would be able to reach out and give anyone a heads up because apparently, the sting operation lasted 2 days. They were also told that SOLICITATION OF PROSTITUTION will be a felony in Texas come September (currently a Class B misdemeanor)

WHAT TRIPPED ME OUT THE MOST is that they kept all of their cell phones and told them that, even if they are able to bond out, they would not be given their cell phones back because the phone was "used in the commission of a crime". All the dudes were told that they would receive a certified letter in the mail letting them know when to come pick up their phone from the Waller County Sheriff's office in about a week or so.
I know that it's "too little too late" at this point but I wanted to share this in the hope that it will stop AT LEAST one of ya'll from doing some boneheaded shit.

1)I am seeking to get verified ASAP. I'll do whatever the fuck you want in order to make that happen because I am not trying to get caught up in some shit like that. Please let me know if you're willing to accommodate.
2) A brother in arms that was arrested said to the cops "If I ask a cop if they're AFFILIATED WITH ANY TYPE OF STING OPERATION OR LAW ENFORCEMENT he/she has to tell me because if they don't, its entrapment", they all laughed at him and asked "is that what these ******s told you?". (I thought that was kind of funny)

That's crazy and I always tell gents that tries to see me when they ask that question, that asking that question is pointless BC they do not have to admit to you that they are. A guy friend of mine been told me that. He's never seen me as a client before or sexually for that matter, but he respects what I do and does his best to keep me safe and out of jail. A few points.

Yes, most states allow you to hold somebody for a few days before they have to charge you or release you.

State laws vary as to what "evidence" can be searched/conficated. Typically this determination is clearcut, but smartphones remain an evolving part of this law. Some northern states have placed greater protection around cell phones because the immense personal data contained in them raises the likelihood of an unreasonable invasion of privacy. Other states either do not share that view or have yet to address the issue, so be aware of that. Another reason for a hobby phone...should you find yourself in this bind if they search your personal phone there will not be incriminating evidence and thus not subject to confiscation (not that LE may not make it difficult for you regardless).

With limited exceptions LE does not need to be truthful in the midst of a live investigation. They can arrest you while they are riding your junk if they want to go the extra mile.

If you're gonna hobby you should prep yourself with basic info regarding arrests, criminal rights, evidence, and above all, how to do some basic recon and what to NEVER say/do in order to minimize the risk of charges being brought or sticking...be the case that is too weak to bother with...plenty of guys make it easy with these stings and you don't have to be one of them.

Hate to break it to you OP BUT, being "Verified" on any site doesn't mean squat nor will it save your ass. Those cells are being "dumped".

Learn to hobby better, many of y'all put yourselves in positions just begging for another Raid. And if you walk into a Sting, you only have yourself to blame. It's not going to get better either *FYI*

LC is one of the main sites for bait. IDK why anyone still uses that crap. I guess because the rates ladies list are so cheap. Smh. I hope they dont exploit him and post his pic on the news like they normally do. Thats one thing that I have always hated that happens when guys get caught up in these situations.

If you're going to Hobby or be a Provider, always keep a Top-Notch Criminal Attorney AND Family Attorney on Retainer. And stop Googling/reading the boards for information, that's not how it works.

I partially agree and partially disagree.

LE will be aggressive, and seize your phone (and car) as being used in commission of a crime. But they ultimately need to PROVE that, so if your hobby phone just has innoccuos texts (versus "I cannot wait to plow your pussy for $x") it won't stick. Burden of proof is on them. They have better resources. So keep it vague and clean. Also understand your phone company's tech with respect to saving an actual text versus the fact that one number texted another...I recall a Northern mayor getting busted cuz his cut-rate cell provider actually saved the content for a while...and it showed up in a FOIA request!

I also do not agree that you cannot learn on-line...there are lawyers, judges, cops, and future jury members here...the real question is whether or not you can separate the wheat from the chaff...I think Alyssa is suggesting most of you cannot...totally agree with that!

The best advice I read here was to avoid LC. I agree with that. Stick with oh2 and trusted companions.

Some of the threads here seem overly paranoid. When I see a trusted companion, I will often take my phone and wallet. I don’t have an attorney on retainer, or the telephone number of a bondsman. And I don’t have a hobby phone. Foolish? Maybe. I might my change behavior if I am ever busted, but that has not happened.

Ben is correct. Keep those texts innocuous. Have fun but be smart about it.

I disagree. I know of no law against knocking on a door. It happened to me today. I knocked on the wrong door, I apologized and found the right room door to knock on.
