Shrimping hasn't been so hot either, especially down near Matagorda, and the oyster beds didn't fare well. Just starting to come back, and here we are in another hurricane season, dang it. I like the wee scavengers of the ocean, myself.

I've been out a few times on deep-sea fishing expeditions, but have always been impressed with DM's seashore abilities. Reel 'em in, hon!

I was in the Chandeleur Islands on a 4 day excursion. We came in on Thursday. Katrina hit Saturday I think it was so she was blowing right up our ass. We caught tons of fish. The islands took a big hit but they always come back. It's good to have a standby hobby for when things are recovering...You know, like knitting.

I know I don't like asians but I've seen some nice setups and those bastards will get there and drop there line and hook like 4 fish at once.. I want to push them in the water lmao..

What's wrong with catching sharks Dorthy? That's mainly what I fish for, reeling in a 6' bull shark on surfside is fun! I like some keeper size reds for eating too but not the big bull reds, I just throw those back because the meat is too tough.
