    Netflix/Hulu/HBOMax show/movie recommendations?

Hola everyone. I’ve been a bit unavailable due to the end of the semester approaching and starting my business this year so I’ve been home a lot more studying and creating websites.

Problem with that, I’m not “exerting much energy” while I’m home so it’s hard for me to be tired and I’m normally awake until maybe 2-3 am.

I love sci-fi and superhero movies. Psychological thrillers are definitely a favorite and conspiracy anything lol. Please leave some recommendations and also a few of your favorites here. I’m not really a big tv show/movie buff so there’s lots of movies I haven’t seen before (other than anything Marvel).

    Thanks in advance,
    Chanel.

Do you have Prime? They have an original series called, “ Tell Me Your Secrets” and it is GOOD. It’s a psychological thriller. I highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys that genre.

    Amazon Prime:
The Expanse: great, dark sci-first (5 seasons' worth - one helluva binge!)
Hanna: mediocre series about a teenage girl who had been turned into a highly trained "weapon" by her father
Jack Ryan: Great series (2 seasons so far)
Extant: another great 2-season sci-if starring Halle Berry

    Netflix:
Space Force (hilarious spoof with "that guy from the office")
Better call Saul: spin-off from Breaking Bad. Very good.

Yeah, I been busy avoiding leaving the house, but I got my 2nd vaccination 3 weeks back, and am back hobbying!

Looking forward to seeing you, lovely lady!

Try The Expanse on Amazon Prime, it’s one of the best new SciFi series I’ve found.

    Better call Saul was great.

I'm not much of a tv watcher besides sports and news, BUT, there is a show named SNOWFALL that is based on the real Freeway Rick Ross and I have stopped everything to watch all 4 season (I'm almost done with season 3 within 1 week). I'll advise you NOT to watch it until this semester is over it is the most real life show I've ever seen, ever and highly addictive.
Sometimes, you gotta pay to play....

Started watching episodes of Castle rock on Hulu. Starts slow but keeps your interest. Getting to the interesting episodes later in season 1. It's a psychology horror series by Stephen King.

If you like sci-fi and superhero movies then you simply have to watch “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” (Netflix). It’s written and directed by Edgar Wright (Ant-Man, the Cornetto Trilogy), and is packed with humor, amazing fights, stunning visuals (Wright is the king of the transition) and great music (which was done by Metric and Beck).

It was a modern comic book movie before audiences were ready for such a thing. That, and horrendous marketing by the studio meant this was a box office flop. Like many innovative movies, though, it became a cult hit. The cast is excellent, including Captain Marvel, Captain America and Superman.

Here’s a music video from the movie to give you some flavor (if you haven’t seen the movie there’s nothing in it to spoil it):

If you like Wright’s style, you need to check out the “Cornetto Trilogy” of Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz and The World’s End, in which he collaborated with Simon Pegg on the writing. They aren’t obviously connected (except by a Cornetto reference), but they are hilarious send ups of a zombie movie, a buddy-cop movie and an apocalyptic movie respectively, while being excellent examples of a zombie movie, a buddy-cop movie and an apocalyptic movie respectively. I believe “Shaun” and “Hot Fuzz” are on Prime and HBO Max, but you might have to pay to stream “The World’s End”.

Lastly, check out “Galaxy Quest” (free on YouTube and elsewhere). Like “Scott Pilgrim”, it was doomed with stupid marketing by the studio, but it is a hilarious send up of Trek culture while paying respectful homage to the same thing. But don’t just take my word for it:
