Been a while, how to get started again?

It’s been multiple years since I’ve been in the hobby, pre-eccie shutdown for a general time stamp. Seems as though my references are no longer valid so I’m a “born again newbie.” Anyone have any suggestions for spinner type gfe in the New Orleans area that could help me get reacquainted? I am really interested in DRs line up in New Orleans soon but I am a total newbie to the hobby. They want 2 references which I cannot provide. Not really sure what to do besides just look for another providers.
