generic terms of endearment

I am well known for saying hun and sweetie to folks I am not close with. I really can't help it, and I think it is a Texan thing. Seems like when you hit a certain age, it just starts happening. But the term I HATE and never want to hear anyone call me is mama. I am childless by choice and no one's mama. Just don't do that one. what do you terms like this do you use? do u hate it when people do this? do you like it? what terms really gripes your ass no end like mama does to me? what one gives you the warm fuzzies? It seems in the hobby it is a good way to show affection and connect easily with someone, especially when you do not know their real name. Do you like these sort of terms used in the hobby? I do in real life and the hobby freely. how do u feel about being called baby, sweetie or hun in a session?

Hey Good Afternoon Sue Nami - great thread topic here for sure.

When it comes to generic terms of endearment, it makes me cringe to be called "sweetie, hun, luv" by a provider. Lol, it's only because I mainly associate these terms when dating in the RW. So hearing it from a provider I don't even know/haven't built up a connection with makes me cringe. But only just a little bit though, because it mostly happens mainly through text. So sometimes I don't even acknowledge it internally.

When reaching out to providers, I don't even use generic terms of endearment, it just makes me feel weird inside when I do. Can't picture myself texting a provider saying "Ok, I'll let you know when I am 10 mins away sweetie/hun/luv" lol. If anything, I love calling providers by their hobby name. So for example, "Hey Sue saw your ad and was interested, blah blah blah". Instead of "Hey baby, saw your ad, blah blah blah".

And it's funny, when I call to book an appointment, I don't hear any generic terms of endearment at all lol! I would be a little turned on to hear a provider call me "baby" (over the phone), that would be about the only one though if I had to choose one I actually prefer to hear.

But other than that, I don't put too much stock into it. I can't control the words that come out of someone's mouth, or the words they decide to text and besides like you said it's just a generic term mainly used when you do not know the other persons name and/or if the provider just can't help it (even if its a Texan thing, which I totally respect either way).

one term I find especially annoying is young lady. I am proud of my age and wisdom. Please do not attempt to diminish me by calling me young lady. I am not in denial about my age and I do not want to be young again. I like being my age and the love the wisdom I have earned by living this long. I do not mind baby, sweetie, or hun but young lady and mama irk me in a visceral way. I do see it is hypocritical to be bugged so much by those 2 terms and then call everyone hun. just saying how it makes me feel.

one close girl friend pointed out to me that young lady and mama both are only applicable to women and are commenting on the status of their uterus. the other terms baby, hun, sweetie can be used for either sex and do not bug me. how would men feel if a woman called you young man in a hobby context? seems stupid to me

Omg! I love this topic! I loathe loathe loathe being called baby, baby, bae, and boo. I also hate when people use the term daddy. I have a dad, he's on my arm....please don't look for me to call you daddy.

I love being called something that you think of when you think of me. Something cute and sweet, something naughty is also super nice.

I agree cyn, daddy makes me cringe. but I love dirty talk and dirty nicknames and being verbal. i guess we all have different joys and triggers and it is hard to predict what people like or hate. My plan is its gotta be sexy, real and in the moment. SAAustin, I sure hope not hun. lol. just talking about what we like and don't like, I do have a few opinions, I don't think I'm ranting when I express them, hope you don't either. cum'ere young man and let me address your issues too, patting my lap.

I agree with Cyn and Sue *especially* about the "daddy" or "papi" part. I cant stand those terms. I don't understand why they have become popular Even in xvideos you can see all kinds of RL couples where the girl is all "ohh daddy" or "aye papi" Yuck.

I do use pet names like hun, babe, sweetie simply b/c you might not know their name and "hun" or "sweetheart" sounds a lot better than, "hi xxxeatmyvj it's nice to meet you :)".

So yea it's just better than saying "hi sexybubblebutt" hehe (like if I don't happen to know them or they don't have a decent 'name' handle to use). But, yea, never ever call me daddy or papi. Pls and ty! Never. Wtf??? lol

The only time I don’t appreciate a term of endearment is when I have not met someone yet. It feels odd for someone to call me babe or hun or whatever in a first introduction. Although once I am acquainted with the person I really enjoy the sweetness of the names.

Generally I've used "Dearie, Sweets and Babe" after i know someone. Only had one problem with this. I was in a chat room and used "Babe". The person flew into a rage because she thought I was referring to her weight and the movie "BABE". Oh well....

There was one lady I saw for a while, A beautiful Latina. She would call me amor in text and greeting, not to mention love making. (Aye amor) That always sounded great coming from her.

It had a genuine touch to it that made me feel like a champ. It doesn’t sound quiet the same when someone calls me love. To me that sounds like she calls everyone love, too. Oh well.
