Places to stay downtown

Coming in for the weekend and was wondering if there are any hotels I should avoid if I’m planning to have a visitor. Also if that doesn’t work out, are the gentlemen’s clubs open?

Plenty of hotels downtown but you might want to consider that parking downtown can be quite a hassle, finding a place with free parking available could be a real headache. Most centrally located places are also on the nicer end of the scale and likely to make access more of a challenge due to keycard access and such. No specific recommendation but the times when I have stayed downtown in the last year I look at HomeAway and rent out small apartments.
