Laser hair removal left the gates of Irish Delight smooth, but yep, it hurt, and was expensive. The finer, lighter hairs weren't much affected, and some of the thicker, deep-rooted ones were stubborn. Years later, I'm seeing sporadic regrowth, so still have to shave.
If I had it to do over again, I wouldn't have wasted the money or endured the agony. Now "natural" is in, dang it, but my bush is mostly whacked!

A while back, I tried Nair on my legs. My gal pals said it was safe, and I did a small test area first and it seemed fine after 24 hours. However, upon full gam application, I was left with the most horrible, burning, ugly, itchy rash, which thankfully healed with the help of a gallon of Calamine cream. Never, ever again, and the experience made me very wary of harsh chemicals getting close to the delicate gates of Irish Delight.
