Yea silicone is good for anyone who has sensitive skin and it's very hypoallergenic.

Flavored & colored lubes are fun but the most important thing for women is to make sure it mentions something about a healthy vaginal pH (normal range: 3.5-4.5).

Many flavored, colored, or warming lubes have ingredients that affect pH negatively creating an alkaline environment.

If you wonder why you are getting a yeast infection or BV or some other vaginitis condition [too] frequently?

It's probably b/c you are too frequently setting off your natural acidic vaginal pH of 3.5-4.5 and making it alkaline which is a sure fire way to get yeasts & BV conditions. The acidic environment is a natural barrier to these harmful bacteria & fungi.

Same with douching. Douching with anything at all will flush out the good Lactobacilli creating alkalinity that is bad for the vagina, allowing bad bacteria, yeasts, and vaginosis. Use water if you have to but mainly mild soap on the vulva/just the outside.

The vagina is really amazing & cleans itself with a mucosal discharge. A little quick rinse with water inside after sex isn't a big deal but really you want to let the natural discharge take place. For odor just use a mild soap & clean the outside vulva area. You can use a deodorant on the outside area only (vulva - not inside).

I realize many women here know some of this, or all of it, and are educated on the topic.

Still, there are those that don't yet know for any number of reasons. So I wish to spread as much educational health info relating to the hobby as possible so that anyone who can benefit has the opportunity to benefit.
