Off putting user names???

Anyone ever screen correctly, the gentleman is answering everything respectfully but has a username that can have you feeling a certain way?

before i close on a client, i always take his handle name into consideration. so i know what to expect, if i've decided to actually close with him, after inspection of course (full research/screening), in case my intuition was speaking to me.

Yes but I've" chanced" a ugly username and found yhe gent to be actually great. Then I've had original and normal usernames and he's not so pleasant.

My original thought for a user name was Lil Peter.
But it wouldn't let me use that name.
So I used the next best thing I could think of.
But I'm not a guud spellar.

Probably a wise approach. Unless you ask, you may never guess the reasoning behind a username: is it an attempt at humor, the first thing he could think of when his first choice was taken, or something else?

I agree with you both.

A person can have an awful username and it might have simply been an attempt at humor.

It's an important "possible" look into someone's thinking, yet like Anna mentions you sorta have to weigh it with other things, communication with them, to make a determination, b/c they might be really great.

In isolation having an awful/weird username (e.g. seemingly misogynistic, gross, hateful, whatever) is, well, very bad, but it could simply be a misplaced attempt at humor, or they got tired of original ideas being unavailable, or maybe they were on a rare drunken episode, etc... and it doesn't truly represent their personality.

No sir it's great. And it definitely helps when keeping the same username on other sites. Easier for us to keep you lined out
