I think you were suggesting that the death rate from COVID is overblown, or that we shouldn't fear death from COVID, because almost no one actually knows anyone who died. I am saying that line of reasoning is illogical because the death total could be as high as 1.1 M and still almost no one would know anyone who has died.
I personally do not fear death due to COVID, but I have a respect for it, and I'm going to try not to tempt it. I wouldn't want to catch COVID from someone due to their negligence and I would hate to give it to someone due to my negligence. It seems that asking everyone to be prudent is reasonable. But to be honest, reading this thread is probably the most I have thought about it in the last two months.
