    For you Sci Fi Fans

Wow - can't believe the book is coming out in a new movie later this year.

Below is a link to a trailer, the affects alone are something else.

Even Trekkies and Star Wars fans have to tip their hats.

Looking forward to this one later this year...

Awesome! Thanks for the heads-up SF.
I read the book and I've watched the original movie countless times and the new movie looks like it might be just as good as the original, if not better.

Yes, the Dino De Laurentiis movie was awesome! Saw it a lot after I got the DVD set.

This new one looks very interesting. Looking forward to seeing it.

Alot of famous (and soon to be famous) stars in the original.
I sure hope they don't try to spoon feed the plot to us again.
I did like the deleted scenes in the original.
I've been waiting for this movie many years.
Maybe I should read the book first

The books are great. The original movie is good but as good as it is, the book is better. Hoping the new reboot will do better.

I completely agree, the book captures so many more nuances that cannot be easily conveyed to a movie audience. A few years back the did a miniseries that was ok https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0142032/ I stress ok, definitely not the book nor the special effects budget of a major motion picture.

Strong +1. I read the book when I was 15 and had strong images in my head. The original movie disappointed me. I hope for better.

I’ll also say this - I read ”The Lord of the Rings” trilogy around the same time and have to say that Peter Jackson nailed it. It was like he had tapped into my brain and extracted my mental images of the story. Extraordinary. Freaked me out during the first 30 minutes, but then I accepted and went with it and enjoyed the shit out of it.
