Hey boys & gurlz! Do you think a provider should put her number in her ads? Why or why not? First, let me say, “I’m all about CYA,”at all times. Cover Yo Ass! The average hobbyist probably does not think about these things, but they should. My regulars have been put out with me, because I’ve changed numbers like 5x and some are apparently butt hurt or assume something is going on. First, when you have a real job & full life, outside of this... one doesn’t have the time to get calls and texts all day & night long! Sometimes it rings so much that I wanna toss it out the window! So, I stopped putting my number out there for that reason mainly.

Second, shit happens.
I work a lot and fell asleep in my tub with said phone in hand then forgot my ID, because I have like 90 passwords to keep up with! It went downhill from there! Ever been locked out if your damn iPhone?! Sux !! After that, I promised myself no more giving out my number. It’s eats up too much time and makes me grumpy. Lol. I have multiple phones all with diff carriers as to protect myself and YOU. Duh.

What if a hobbyist isn’t so stealthy? What if wifey looks through your phone and sees your last location? What if wifey googles the number and it pops up with an adult ad? Shit happens all the time every day & everyone should safeguard themselves & each other (provider/client). If you don’t, then you shouldn’t be hobbying.

I have no problem giving my number to verified clients, regulars and screened guys. In fact, I have a personal rule that I must hear your voice when you get to my spot! Why? Again... what if SO, Wifey, or a friend of verified client, that has bad intentions, or heaven forbid LE gets to your phone for whatever reason. Stranger things have happened. Anything can happen & sometimes does. I hate to be Debby Downer, but that’s a fact. Someone really asked me the other night, if someone was “running me?!?!” Me?! ROFL. I guess because of the number changes?! Umm. Yeah No. Have you met me?! I’m a sweetheart & kitten, bcd, but I’m extremely assertive & have a brain in my skull, last time I checked!! Lol. The ONLY way someone is ever gonna “handle” an indie like myself and/or colleagues is if one of us gets kidnapped or forced! I eat too many cupcakes for that! I’m thick & apparently can still throw hands, as I was assaulted by a disgruntled lady whilst in line at the damn fedex office! And I carry, so there’s that. Lol!

I do have a problem with, “you avail?” “Hi” then radio silence or “quickie for 80 & COT?!” all day long! Double face palm! It makes appreciate my true gentleman friends just that much more! I’m taking about all day & night! Ain’t no one got time for dat! Lol.
People need plausible deniability & discretion. Some need or want more for whatever reason(s). There could be many. I, also find my and your time valuable. I like to be on my A game when I hobby, not drained from time wasters, energy vampires or lack of effective communication or good boundaries! IDK about y’all?! Lol. IJS... if a dude can’t take 5 min to pm, email or shoot a p4 pm, to ask a chic their new number then it’s on them. Personally, I’m not going to over step my boundaries and call or text without permission, first. That’s not cool.

So, what do you guys and girls think? Post the number or no? And why?

Me personally I make them PM me first so I can screen them. Once they passed screening I give my number to them so we can communicate easier. If they find my number and txt me instead of sending a PM I always send this text "please pm me for any and all information" no matter what questions they ask or text afterwards I will not answer until I recieve a PM. This helps me weed out guys who have no intention of seeing me or some who like to play the game of wasting your time for their enjoyment. This obviously is not a 100% guarantee because somehow asshats fall through the cracks

In general ; Don't ever let people push you to do things or operate in a manner you are not comfortable with.In service oriented professions clients can be very entitled regarding how they think things should go.You don't have to explain.They can PM to get the new numbers.Don't worry about them.

Is this you advertising to me?! Text you what?! Can you write in complete sentences? Who are you? What do you want? How would I or you know who you are texting with, without verifying first?
I would not answer to a stranger and text hobby related stuff ever. I am not suicidal, thank you.

I don't give out my phone number or my address, unless you are screened and on the way to my incall right now, for scheduled and 10 times confirmed appointment. If I am away from my computer, it means I have decided to be away from hobby and will never answer any messages in a hurry. Clients, who are interested, will contact with minimal information required to make an escort eager. Others are just spinning the tires and making a lot of noise without getting anywhere.

I am not a hustler and I can allow myself weeding trough messages and deny 99% inquiries. I give an hour a day to myself to answer requests and browse trough webpages, after that I prefer to live MY LIFE away from cellphone and timewasters/arrogant/annoying texting 24/7.
But this is just me.

Personally, I would screen those folks before I gave them my number. It would probably cut down on the time wasters, stalkers, pic. collectors, negotiators, pimps recruiting crew members and LEOs trying to pluck some low hanging fruit. js Carry on sweetie.

An ad can say PM and include an email … even if there is a phone # in an ad … I PM or email first. I also don’t rush into appointments so guys who want instant appt booking may take issue with this. But I generally my first communications are not to book but to determine the compatibility quotient. So … no phone number is no issue.

That might cost the lady some spur of the moment appointments … but she gains some control. Me … I would go with the control thingie.

omg, my frequent list has only a dozen or so. And, the best way to maintain pwords is with a reliable password manager (or two or three mgrs) depending on your needs.

Log in is a different story. newer iPhone allows your facial or finger print recognition. Even the more waterproof model.

Many allow (some demand!) multi levels of security protection, even a secondary level with a password sent to your cell phone every time you log in.

oh2 permits/recommends that members seeking more than ordinary security:

-- have a log in different from their visible handle
-- use a secret email for their profile and a different visible email for communications.

And, of course, you should have different passwords for different serious accounts. So, for some sites in common, like places where you don't worry much about security, have a common password with a discreet suffix for each different site.

Note that publishing your contact data (phone, email, website, etc.) potentially exposes you to trolls or worse.

Nikki I think it's totally fine to keep your # private if that makes you feel safer and you get less bombarded in that manner. No issue with email or PM if you are able to get back to people.

I agree with CK about the password manager app. You should use something like LastPass or Dashlane or Roboform. My personal fav is LastPass but there are tons to chose from these days.

Anyone in today's world needs to be using a pwd manager app bc recycling passwords (or modifying existing ones using added/changed digits) is not a great practice. Using a manager app you can have hundreds & hundreds of entries (as I do) all with extremely strong pwd protection & you only need to remember one (your master pwd) to get into the app which has the entire list of passwords. The app will also auto fill username/password fields in browsers and on mobile phones. You can also store secure notes, other important info, social security ID's, locker combinations, bank acct data, attach images to the records, etc... It's an utterly invaluable tool. The best imo is LastPass.

MG, I’m tech challenged. I’m like the absent minded professor. Smart but runs into shit and has a messy desk. I had no idea there was such a thing. Yeah. IK. I can’t believe I didn’t until today, reading this. Sooo, thank you.
