Careful calling out newbies... someone might get offended.

I pretty much did the same thing you are doing and I pissed someone off. But I could give two shits if I did.

This review board is how we talk to each other, help each other. And when something is suspect, if no one calls it out, we are doing each other a disservice. Trust me, these ladies take care of each other, we have to do the same. Pay close attention to the newbies or two three year unverified hobbyist, they usually the only ones supporting a provider that has issues with seasoned hobbyist. So why is that??? How does a newbie get so luck, when others just fall flat???
Now I am willing to concede, even a blind squirrel can find a nut every now and then..... a broken watch is right twice a day, so anomalies can happen.... but experience out weighs anomalies everyday and twice on Sunday...

But don’t be too Cynical, not all providers are sneaky or bad. A lot of them are normal everyday ladies trying to make a buck. Treat them properly and avoid the others. Do your research and you should be fine...

But never stop talking on the boards, no matter who it pisses off. This is how we make the business better!!

The most common comment from the experienced pro's (of which I am not), is , "do your research". Apparently, The Locker Room is not secure. Either there are "White Knights" that are constantly clue-ing the ladies in to many private comments, or there are ladies that sign up as hobbyists and verify themselves to gain access to the LR. With that in mind, I have been observing some rave reviews that seem at odds with the majority of the experiences recorded on OH2, and the commonality is the great reviews are from unverified newbies. Most of the time, I keep my observations to myself; but I will take Corpusprowler's wise reprimand to heart. To wit....

As an up'n'coming newbie, I have no weight to throw around. I am gradually getting a better "feel' for the hobby, and I shall rise to CP's challenge. Hopefully, those details will jump out at you in the future, and to anyone else who reads threads like this one. Many thanks to Vanilla Gorilla, Doc, Mr. Ex-Prez, Corpusprowler and others for blazing these well-trodden paths.

I had no idea that my simple explanation of a positive experience would garner so much controversy... being geographically challenged there aren't that many verified providers willing to make the trek. Furthermore, I don't hobby that often to begin with (every now and then to break a dry spell). I tend to only share positive reviews, having been accosted by WK's and falsely accused by a provider on Eccie back in the day. I had been chatting w/ a couple of well reviewed ladies trying to make something happen (to no avail). This lady was plan C, and she delivered as promised! Plain and simple.

I am on the side that says be skeptical, and don't be afraid to post.. this is a Discussion Board, so the object of skepticism has a chance to respond, that facilitates learning.. or not.
