    Question about taxes - a 2018 1099 form

Does anyone know if there are any options to file this for free?

I went to the IRS site, however, nothing can be done online through them since it is for 2018.

    Thanks in advance!

You would have to file through a Tax Preparer or buy the 2018 Tax Program but it will have to be mailed in since the IRS is only accepting 2019 Taxes online.

I do tax work also and used to be an Auditor and right now, the IRS is so backed up it's crazy.....

There are free tax softwares online for that and no need to buy anything - tax filing is always free. However, as mentioned above, you will have to mail it in. IRS each year shuts down online tax submissions about a week after the deadline for extentions, but the option for free electronic tax prep is alive and well. Just get a friendly accountant to do it for you for free (better if they are not hobbyists so those two things dont mix), most would given how simple individual taxes are.

Plenty of free software available, but a lot of it is for current year 2019 https://apps.irs.gov/app/freeFile/

I have found it is much easier to just buy turbotax or hr block from amazon. the 2018 is dirt cheap, under 10 dollars.
