Those strawberries were huge. Awesome with my little steak.

I love breakfast tacos! Scrambled eggs/cheese, corn tortilla, skillet potatoes... beans and bacon.

My famous meatloaf, mashed garlic potatoes .. green beans.. and sauteed mushroom-onion gravy ...

I'm no pro but... I love to cook !

I'm making green chile, chicken and cheese enchiladas and lots of yummy organic soups! It's fun being creative in the kitchen!

    Jessie:

You dont need 'canning supplies' for pickles.

Literally all you need is <name your veggie>, apple cider vinegar, salt (make sure it is non-iodized, or the brine goes cloudy), mustard seed, and dill.

Cut your veggies and pack them into a jar, and put three sprigs of dill interspersed with veggies. I went got half gallon jars. Make the brine with the remaining ingredients and fill up the jars.

Cold brine the jar in the fridge, after a day you have full blown pickled whatever.

These 'pickles' are more like the Klausen pickles (found in the cold foods section at the grocer) as opposed to the Vlasic ones. (after you taste cold brined pickles you will never willingly choose the traditional types.....)

Easy peasy. No heating stuff up and sealing like you need to do with canning.

    Damn I’m hungry!

I discovered a recipe for a cake without flour, milk or eggs. Tasted better than I expected. Like coffee cake.

Being a widowed old fart I cook for myself every day. I have a few dishes that are very good and I'm OK/good with the grill. But it's tough to cook for one and not be just plain ass wasteful. I certainly don't have the skills you ladies are showing off.

So here whats up !!! Tongue in cheek. Your some cruel ass BDSM bitches.

    Happy to oblige.

I didn’t have grated zest of lemon, so I used lemon juice.
Also didn’t have vanilla beans, so I used vanilla extract.
I erred when I said it didn’t include flour.

    Enjoy!

I got an Instapot - so I'm instapotting. So far I've made chiili and teriyaki chicken. The chili was great the teriyaki chicken - ehh. I've also been doing German food - schnitzel and bratkartoffein with Black Forest cake for dessert.

How do you like the instapot Ellen? I've thought about getting one.

I like it Brit. It cuts down on the length of time it takes to cook meat and it makes everything nice and juicy. Plus they have tons of utube videos showing how to cook different things so you can't go wrong. Thank goodness!!
