Points?

So, If any members have had the experience of obtaining points/infractions on Oh2... like the other place lol. They always have a expiration.

So, my question is who is really issuing these "account situations" and where are the guidelines for point/violations? Giving members a exact notice of policy instead of ppl making up things along th3 way !

Can someone guide me in the right direction? Without giving me points lmao! Just a honest question.

Points= limit for account before banned?

5 points= ?

10 points? what are the expiration dates?

25 ? is that a ban?

If there are points can we please get a sticky with consequences? I know staff volunteers time when they can but I hope that when you have a chance this is a new sticky , memo ect.

Lmao, the only person who has banned me in my life is my x husband hopefully asking questions wont be a repeat of my divorce!

I got permanent points that never expire according to their ruling. All I did was repeat something from National coed and proved it with links. Oh well.
As a guide said, the boards aren't ..."be all", "end all".

Not sure why you are so concerned with the point system Jane If you are nice and not being rude then you will not receive points. Try to focus on that.

Lmao because if there are policies that are being applied then members need to know what they are. The exact guidelines. Since there is possibly "new staff" around a lot of people want to know information on new the new policies that are being enforced. I simply asked a question. Was not trying to offend you nor provoke a not so polite response.

This is why I love this board. They don't tolerate bullies. I guess a point system would be great to know "if I call this woman a bitch, I only get 5 points, oh well I'm going to do it".

The problem with the system is that people who get points DO know what different infractions are worth and then they know how to walk a thin line. This board is run more like Gina ran P411. Do something bad or that she didn't like? GONE, no questions. But then if you approached her respectfully, she would reconsider. Throw a fit? Gone forever.

Not saying that is right or wrong, but it is the owner's prerogative, especially when no one pays to be here.

It kinda sucks not knowing the points, but I also agree it keeps people from abusing the points system if they don't know how points are issued.

In a roundabout way we DO pay to be here, referring guys to this website is a form of payment. We are the system supporting safe passage. Building up a forum is work that we aren't getting paid for.
Reporting stings, teaching safety, sharing vital info is paying it forward.
You don't have a board/forum unless there are people/members.
Point/s is similar to a posted speed limit, rules and points go hand in hand but some of the lines are blurred.
For example, If I said, "Shut the fuck up" and I was called out for being rude but it wasn't directed at anyone in particular, they could STILL give me points. But the example was first started by a admin. He quoted, 'shut the fuck up'.
I have seen admins/guides give points and scold members for doing the exact thing.
We aren't perfect but it's seriously confusing at times when you try to defend yourself with the truth but they are more eager to shut you down instead cutting some slack.

I have had to issue several infractions for rule violations since becoming a guide here. I have given an explanation for the action and offered advice on how to avoid earning them in the future (basically.....read and follow the clearly posted rules and guidelines).

If my explanation was not understood, I have been asked to clarify further and I have done so.

So....if you have gotten "points" or lost access without explanation, I would suggest asking the member of staff that applied them to your account.

**No one is "making up rules" as we go along. The rules and guidelines have been posted for all to see.

As far as "points"....well....how many points someone receives for violating the rules and guidelines depends on a few factors:
How many times has the person been warned to behave and follow those rules?
How severe was the violation?
Was it matter of security breech or just uncalled for rudeness towards a fellow member?
Was the person they were disrespecting just a fellow member or a member of staff/owner of the site that had JUST asked that they discontinue with rude behavior?

I agree with my fellow community guide above. READ the rules, FOLLOW the rules, RESPECT your fellow board members, HEED warnings when they are given and there will be no need to even worry about "points". **

** I do agree with Vanessa and about how Gina ran things. I have been a member there for 7 years with no problems. This is coed and it is a great place to raise awareness. To share opinions. We don't have to all agree but it is interesting to read responses to say the least!
