TMZ has it first so I was skeptical. Then about 15 minutes later it was on everything else. Tragically sad. He was definitely one of the greats.

For all of the daggers he plunged into our hearts, we never expected this one. RIP Black Mamba.

Unhappy Saddened about Kobe Bryant’s death....

    I’m in disbelief.
Kobe Bryant was only 41 and how tragic for his daughter to pass as well as the other families on helicopter. I am so heartbroken to find out he died. Living in San Antonio I’ve always loved my SPURS. But tonight respectively I’m a lakers fan. My heart breaks for his wife. I know I know people die all the time but the sports world has lost a legend. One of the greatest sporting legends of all time gone far too soon.

    RIP Kobe

    Not Hobby related.

    Moved to the proper forum.

And another thread of the same topic merged with this one.

So did few other people, who sat next to him. All dead...
Why is only this person, who is BTW violent rapist (allegedly) is celebrated and mourned? Life of others, who lost it at the same time, is no less regarded and cried over.

    IMHO

It is a shame that all those who died didn’t get the same level of media attention as Kobe. That’s the nature of our ridiculous celebrity idolizing culture. But they also didn’t get their dirty laundry aired either. Now’s the time to think about the families of those who died. I feel so bad for them all.

Was an officer in Iraq that stated he thinks more about soldier he lost than ever would for Kobe.

Just too many people we lose and forget about.
