Works great in a nitrile glove.

It has universal hobby appeal. It’s great for Russian and Greek. The ladies like the taste, so you also get a nice greasy handjob before the BBBJ. No downsides to this stuff!

I get fractionated coconut oil from the massage supply store. Same as regular coconut oil except it smells like water and never solidifies.

Be careful using coconut oil. It does indeed have some great properties BUT there are some caveats to consider:

-- Coconut is a petroleum products. All petroleum products can destroy latex. One study showed that in as little as 6p seconds of contact they reduced condom efficacy by a full 90%. SO DO NOT USE ANY PETROLEUM BASED PRODUCT IF YOU ARE PRACTICING SAFE SEX WITH A CONDOM.

-- Coconut oil as a personal lubricant in some women can considerably affect vaginal pH level and leave you prone to yeast infections and/or even BV. It can also erode the natural protective acid mantle in the vaginal canal over a prolonged and extensive usage.

It's great for many things but it breaks down condoms and I really wouldn't put it inside the cooch anyway b/c of it's high basic pH. Seriously. Coconut oil, ironically, can actually make it dryer or itchy down there when it throws off the pH so bad to cause yeast growth or BV.

If you do this at least rinse with pkain water and then take a good probiotic or find a yogurt and rub it directly in (make sure the probiotic or yogurt contains specifically "lactobacillus acidophilus").

Correction to my post above (credit & thx goes to BL)

I should not have made the statement that coconut oil is a petroleum product. No no. It is indeed natural and not of an inorganic compound.

That was rushed & also based on the fact that there are all these different varieties & processes to different coconut oils and that they can go through. But, yes , it's natural oil derived from organic material. Very true.

HOWEVER, please please understand that doesn't change the core msg or aspects of my post. Not at all.

I'm happy to make this correction b/c thanks to BL I'm able to fix the incorrectly labelled unnatural petro oil. BUT again I also want it to be clear that it doesn't change the meaning of contents of the overall message.

Let me explain. You can find many articles that your the beauty regimen aspects of natural oils like coconut oil. That being said you can find just as many where experts disagree. Why is that? B/c there is really no good long term or peer reviewed study data to conclusively say one way or the other with respect to certain skin care or vaginal health. That does NOT mean there are not studies on natural oils. Of course there are. The problem is there still aren't ANY major ones that discuss these specific topics of skin care, beauty regimens, vaginal use, moisturizer, personal lube, etc...

The pH issue is an area of contention among scientists too. The reason is technically that coconut oil doesn't have an actual pH. I'm not going to get into this too deeply but basically pH is the potential of Hydrogen ions inside water based solutions. Since oils do not mix with water there is technically no pH level. I'm going to leave it at that and not get into the chemistry of triglycerides (the fats that make-up the substance we call "oil" in natural products such as coconut or flaxseed oil and so on).

There is also a well known 1989 study that showed latex breaking down within seconds and ultimately reduced by 90% efficacy in 60 seconds. I can't find the link at the moment but here is a Planned Parenthood article explaining why not to use coconut oils (which is based on that study).

You will also find numerous articles if you Google about the potential for yeast infections and BV. It's also mentioned in the PP link above.

Personally, from what I've seen and read about these oils they do have MANY great properties for skin regimens, beauty, and other ailments.

However, based on the data I have seen, as well my own anecdotal data (seeing women who use coconut oil as a lube get yeast infections or BV disproportionately to other women) I would not use it as a personal lube for extended periods and definitely not with condoms. No no. There is no question that it nearly nullifies the protection of the condom. We have a conclusive peer reviewed study on this, that one is put to rest.

Thank you BL for the response which allowed me to correct this and also expound on a few other areas. Great contribution to the discussion as always!
