Regarding the original topic, even as a companion it can be self care for me. Thanks for posting this comment. It didn't occur to me but this is a form of self care. I've found myself single after over a decade of marriage and have zero interest in a relationship but people have the need for physical intimacy. Hearing this from a companion means a lot.
