I might have ED or is it a scare?

I have seen an escort this weekend that I need to review later on this week (I never came around it), but I had not felt so depressed that I have ever felt. I couldn't get myself off. I do not have HIV or anything like that. I have Erectile Dysfunction (I do joke about it to turn a negative into a positive). It happened just this past Saturday morning, as I thought it was just me exhausted. So In went to see a provider to send some time with and I noticed that I was off and on not getting a stiffy like I used to.

I used to smoke cigs and cigars, but only by 50% of the time. There were times I quit for a year or even 3 whole years. What drives me back into smoking is if someone around me keeps smoking (my ex girlfriend from Slovakia was a smoker and I wish she didn't bring me out to talk while she smoked). Tobacco use is one of the causes of erectile dysfunction. Also high blood pressure is a cause which I am 39 years old and how would I get that (I did have problems with my upper valves of my heart). I am going to see my doctor soon this week just to get a check up. My erectile dysfunction is not the only problem, it's a sodium problem. I feel like eating foods that do not agree with me has cause this too. I also feel like maybe my fast metabolism I am famous for from 15-38 years old is starting to wear out. Oh man, well...

I need help on how to cure or level my functions. I am asking because I plan on seeing my primary doctor later today to talk about this. I been eating fruits. I been drinking juices more than soda. I quit smoking about a month ago. I started back three months ago until I got fired from my recent job.

I need help trying to figure out health reasons, etc.

You are right at an age that you probably need to have your hormone levels checked. Low T can cause this issue easily. If you take certain illicit drugs it can cause male T levels to TANK (particularly opioids - anything in that family will destroy these hormone levels). Certain antidepressants and SSRIs can also cause this problem.

Note: Smoking is relatively insignificant in the grand scheme with all other things being considered. It simply won't cause any serious or drastic change. However, you shouldn't smoke. It's gross and it's unhealthy.

I have known a couple of men to improve their ED through diet and lifestyle. It’s great that you have stopped drinking soda, but fruit juices are also high in sugar. It’s best to eat the whole fruit because it will include the fiber. You probably should try being gluten and diary free for awhile and eat lots of veggies. Definitely avoid processed foods and soy based products. I know that is easier said than done, but I have had a couple of friends that did that and their erections were quite improved. I hope that motivates you a little!

Not a man, so take this with a grain of salt – but E.D. a very common thing for men to experience at any age. It definitely becomes more of a factor with age, but I wouldn't be too concerned.

If I understand correctly, the leading cause of E.D. is anxiety (which is nothing to be ashamed of). If you have fully ruled anxiety as a possibility in your particular case, I echo what mathguy recommended – get your hormone levels checked! It's common for there to be imbalances in peoples' bodies that affect libido and drive.

Also, if you are a porn afficionado (as I imagine most of us are!) it may behoove you to hold off on indulging in that pleasure for a day or two before your date for maximum arousal and enjoyment.

Talking to your doctor is the right move. I have no doubt you will find and address your issue. Good luck. ♥

I thought I had it too, but I lost like 69 lbs and excercise regularly now. My rocket is up and my blood pressure is down. Dr. wants to put me on meds because I am borderline.

I got my lab results back, and my blood chemistry is fine with everything. I am also HIV Negative. I have scanned my paperwork too. I did blood test lab work this month plus last year on March and November. So this month is my new one. Everything is fine. I guess it is anxiety and too much porn as well as I need to go out Austin, but I really do not want to due to the growth of the homeless. But other than that, I am exercising like always and trying to fix my life.

I agree with you but he also needs to start to exercise, positive meditation, and start to mentality think positive thoughts about his erections.

I think I need more fiber. Have positive thoughts, etc. I need happiness. I am single and just not happy. I lost a lot in 2019. I think 2020 will change for the better hopefully.

I need to eat better, I need to think positive, I need to break my slump.
