I LOVE chicken and dumplings. One of my favorite dishes. Gourdoughs serves them with a donut. Love it!

I'm curious about the donut. Do they serve it on the side? Or with the dumplings for a sweet & savory type thing? I'm intrigued.

They serve it on the side. It’s a big donut, but it’s a cake donut, not sweet. They have plenty of very sweet donuts for dessert.

Ms. Brittany, I make it both ways. I know there are some who can’t, or simply don’t like seafood. I make one with just chicken and sausage. I wouldn’t want to leave anyone out.
