I have asked for recent pics before. But only when communicating with providers whose photos are obviously quite old. Many of us do our research and look back through old posts. If I notice pictures are more than a few months old, I want to see something updated. Because a lot can happen in a few months. It's just making sure we know what we are getting into. And yes, there are some picture collectors out there as well.
