So about two days ago I had an iPhoneXR stolen. Small things to a giant right. So this person so my phone I’m guessing from a Walmart near my area. And the next morning she had apparently took it upon herself to send out my nude photos to some of her personal numbers, as well as to a lot of people on my Snapchat. I am 100% this girl Hass to be a provider because she was sending numbers to management if you know what I mean. So anyways I received A message from an email. And then a little bit later I got a text message saying hi I work at the McDonald’s on Beechnut and this girl there had your phone and I got it opened it up and it said to call this number so I wanted to return your phone back to you. Major brownie points because whether or not the dude was honest he brought me my phone back. And he also told me that it was a girl named Brittany. So if Britney reads this or if there’s a Britney that provides and works at McDonald’s honey I need to get your whole entire life together because I’m not the one to mess with. Sending my personal photos. Big no-no. She works a McDonald’s on Beechnut and Gessner. She also took it upon herself to send herself a few hundred dollars or actually around $200 from my cash app and it was not successful except for once. I have no idea if she has contacted any of my clients but if my guys got a message or any off-the-wall message from anyone pretending to be me it was not me I can guarantee you that. And there was a certain person whom she was screenshot Ing pictures of off of this website. I’m almost positive I know who it is.

This scenario is why I recommend a SIM card lock. Visit the nearest store front of your cellular service provider or dial 611 for assistance setting one up. Moreover, I strongly recommend the protonmail app as it can be used to protect your hobby email contacts by a fingerprint and a passcode. This could buy you some time to locate your phone and make a deliberate decision to remotely wipe your phone. I also recommend backing up your phone to a computer on a regular basis in case you intentionally or an unauthorized user accidentally wipes your phone. In this way you will not lose a significant amount of information if you have to wipe your phone remotely. Lookout and other apps can send out digital flares before the battery dies as well as track your phone while in use. Visit the nearest Apple Store for assistance to password protect or compartmentalize individual apps that contain sensitive information. Develop a contingency plan to help minimize damage to your business reputation as well as impliment a notification process to warn any clients or business associates who may have a need to know. Stay safe. It's a jungle out there!

For certain things I require a passcode. I do for PayPal but I just for some retarded reason don’t have one for cash app. I just don’t use cash app as much as I do PayPal. My phone was only in the hands of someone for about not even eight hours before I completely had it shut down and locked to where they couldn’t even access it. All is well. I have a brand new ph, again.

Note that SIM lock code would be the first barrier and most important barrier, your fingerprint the second barrier then your phone passcode the third barrier. Of course, some apps like protonmail will also offer a double layer (fingerprint and passcode) of protection. I am glad you were able to retrieve your phone.

Okay folks, point taken. No need to pile on this lady. She has enough issues to deal with because of a thief. Continued piling on will not change what has happened. I’m sure it is a lesson learned by this lady and one not to be repeated. Can we all just chill please and let this lady deal with fixing the issues the thief created??

Not piling on, but you do need to learn how to lock your WHOLE phone. I thought iPhoneX had face ID. I'm sure it at least has Touch ID. Please go tot he store and have someone show you how to use these essential features!

Ms Brooke Wild does make a valid point from an individual prospective. However, with all due respect her suggestion would nullify or minimize a collective and organizational learning opportunity. Thank you for sharing and creating a collective learning opportunity for the oh2 community. From my vantage point it is rare indeed to witness a companion or admirer put the needs of the hobby community above their own self interest. Hopefully, your sharing will inspire other companions and their admirers to be proactive rather than reactive. It took courage to share your experience and I admire you for doing so.
