I will miss that R2D2 avatar thingy over there...where I will continue to contribute in my own fashion whatever and whenever I can.

Our (the hobby) communities are much greater than any ASPD or a Home2 can ever be -- bandwidth is bandwidth.

We who gather electronically or (much better) in person have a warmth and identity that rises above mere electrons.

And indeed, some of us may "rise" in other, more intimate, gatherings as well.

Last night&#39;s SA gathering in its own fashion was every bit as real as real could be, even considering the event in Houston, which was schedule from 5 to 9 pm was marred the 20 minute interruption of uninvited guests close to the end of the event. 12 people were removed, but the rest who were paying attention to the rules left without incident.

For those with bitter thoughts, to all I truly wish a little joy in this holiday season and perhaps a bit of sweetness to offset whatever else they might be feeling.

Let us not harbor hatred for others.

A few friends last night may have noticed my (emotional) recounting of the momentary joy (and longer lasting hope, I hope) brought to some truly forgotten folks in a Houston shelter from the generosity of those contributing cash and toys at the Houston event.

In no big way can our hundreds of dollars and dozens of toys can make any huge improvement in those forgotten folks&#39; lives.

But in their hearts... in their hearts... in their hearts!

And in ours, too.

A Merry and a Happy to all here and elsewhere, too.
