Sorry to cancel trip...

<span style="font-family:Arial Black">For those who haven&#39;t heard I got my right knee and ankle badly hurt last night.

I unloaded a new horse and one of my dogs nipped at it. The horse struck out at him then jumped off to the right - taking me with him. I don&#39;t think my legs moved, at least not fast enough. My right knee bent to the inside (I do&#39;t think they are made to go that way) lol. Sprained my ankle at the same time.

I&#39;m not much for Doctors, but I did go this am. He took x-rays and fortunately I didn&#39;t break anything. He told me if it does not fully heal in a month we will do a MRI and check for serious tares.

What does this all mean? It means I can&#39;t hobby til I&#39;m healed up and I am not suppose to even ride my horses at all.

I will try to get back to hobby&#39;ing as soon as I can, I can&#39;t afford to much time off.

I will try to keep every one updated and when I can hit the road again for play time.

I know the feeling. I just recovered from a surgery for 3 tears in my knee. I still can&#39;t run, jump, or walk more than five minutes without a brace. I sincerly hope for you that it gets better and nothing is torn.

Take my advice; stay off your feet for now. Don&#39;t do anything except lay down with your leg propped-up with ice on it. If you can find an orthopediast supply and have about $200 to spend, get a cryo-cuff (they are worth the money and if there is a tear in your knee, get one without a doubt). If you don&#39;t want to invest that much, CVS has an ice pack that kind of looks like a knee brace for $15 (surprisingly you cannot find one at Wal-Greens, Target, etc).

I will re-plan this trip when I&#39;m well enough to make the drive down. I was looking forward to visiting, making new friends and taking in some of the rodeo.

It&#39;s really hard for this cowgirl to stay down lol

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but glad nothing is broken. It sure could have been a lot worse. But I really sympathize with you because I&#39;m certainly no stranger to accidents, broken bones, x-rays and Emergency Rooms. Please get well soon and cum on down to Big-H ASAP. Diffinately looking forward to it!! I am thinkin end of March, leg is still sore but I am walking much better!
