Ok, so there we were... one of my hobby lady friends and I were texting regarding screening, etc.... and as she thanked me for my input, I sent back to her "Like I've said before... you lean on me and I'll lean on you and together we'll BOTH keep our heads outta the mud" (originally from Bubba in Forrest Gump - I'm not that creative).

And that's when the conversation went south...

Something was mentioned about a blow-up kiddie pool and a tarp... and, of course, MUD (but how to finangle that into a hotel room is still yet to be determined...)

Well, that got us thinking... that would be an interesting twist to a doubles session!!! (not to mention a helluv alotta towels, and we ALL know how precious THOSE are in the hobby world).

No plans to integrate that into sessions (any time soon, lol) but just thought it would be a fun topic to chunk out there for discussion. Smuggling a blow up pool and a tarp to put underneath all the 'fun' is easy... but what would we use for mud? Pack a rolling suitcase full of dirt and make our own? Ehhh... I dunno about that...

So, what are your ideas?

Chocolate pudding obviously. You can get it in bulk at Sam's. Without knowing your competition my money is on you. Beyond that I'm ... speechless...

BTW Viv, you'll need a rasslin' coach and I volunteer. I even have a kiddie pool we can use for the lessons!!!

I have actually DONE this before! Not as a "working" experience but I have a dear, dear friend who is a mud fetishist. I learned more than I would ever even THINK about from him.

He actually had an inflatable pool that we used on many occasions at his house, the lake, hotels...well, you get the idea.

Make sure it is deep enough. You REALLY want a pool that is about as deep if not a bit deeper than a garden type tub. The tarp is a good idea indoors but is not needed outdoors as the mud just washes away.

The mud itself is not actually MUD in the way you would think of it. It is NOT what you get out of your flowerbed or at the local Garden Shop. Go to an arts type supply place that has pottery clay. We would use about a 25 pound bag as I recall. SLOWLY add the water to the desired consistency, you don't want it too watery or too thick. You also want to try to keep it as warm as possible too. The cool mud is great outdoors in the Summer but TOO cold indoors might not feel as good.

We used to trek out to mud pits at quarries to play around. It was AWESOME!!! I don't recommend it as it IS trespassing and dangerous if you don't know what you are doing though.

The thing that amazed me was that even if it (the clay) gets in to creases and crevasses, it washes right out! It only is messy after it dries. Imagine that! Keep it in, oops, I mean ON wet parts and it washes right out, oops again, I mean off!

I can't think of what else to tell you except that it will stain carpet so be careful and have a towel trail to the shower.

Let me know if you do it and how it goes...it should be lots of fun. Hey, people have paid lots of money for mud treatments for lots of years...if they only knew how easy and inexpensive it really is!

Kiddy pool over a large tarp loaded with KY. Kind of the OLD SCHOOL wrestling thing.

Oh and if you need a good cut man in the corner just let me know.

I found Vanilla Pudding or Jello works well for taste & smell. Bananas works well as to Green Grapes leaves no stains. Xtra Virgin Olive Oil is the best by far.
You can also try MILK or even Hair Conditioner.

Herbal mud treatments as well. Just make you have no allergies. Or if you like a little more tingle.

Texas Passion, just when I thought I could figure out any abbreviation, you stumped me... what are GS & TB or PB?

LOL, I've GOT an excellent PB in mind, but I'm sure it's not the same thing you're talking about! (inside joke there, don't ask...)

TP, I'm assuming that you are referring to VK's avatar and legs, since my legs aren't really showing in mine! of course her avatar doesn't do her legs justice at all, either! Just a hint and a tease!
