Question for the ladies about the gents...

This is my question. How long of a time period are references good for on after a date? My friends and other providers that i have asked for a reference said to me that they wont give a reference if its been six months or longer sense that had a date with the gent.

I don't worry about "older" references as long as I get a vlaid one...I will google the providers info,if I don't know who she is,to make sure she is legit

I will aslo ask the guy for some way that she would remember the him{hairstyle,weight,occupation,demeaner,where they met,something they discussed,etc}

Back on topic; I think 6 months is to long. I really don't like it when a provider contacts me for a reference and gives me just a handle or an email address and expects me to recall the guy. If it has been longer than a few months, I need some kind of reminder.
Also, I think the guy should contact me first if it has been longer than 90 days and let me know so and so will be contacting me. At that point and time, he can give me a reminder. Gents have to realize we meet a lot of folks and to remember someone at the drop of a hat is not going to happen, well for me that is.

I don't believe in setting a time period for a reference. Guys have alot of options (flavors) out there and some like to try them all. I most times am only in a city for a couple days at the most once or twice a year. With me, 3 months or you are history, is just about impossible unless he's following me around the country. I do verify that the girl inquiring is legit for both my safety and the guys. There have been occasions where I do need a reminder on the date. Just a note to guys; if it has been a while since you have seen the reference you choose to use, try to remember a few things, the city, the hotel, something funny or a special moment, did you write a review, what did she wear. Any of these things can help jog the memory of a busy gal!

i've already said elsewhere why i no longer accept older references
i know it's not the majority, but some guys change...some that were ok 2 years ago...simply aren't now

on a similar note..this again is why i love preferred411...so many girls come and go within a 3 month period..its good to have those oks there no matter if the chick is available to contact or not

Question: anyway the board (if it ever comes back) can include an "ok" counter? Here's what I mean: under the avatar we see a number that represents a provider's "ok" of that hobbyist. I, as a reviewing hobbyist, can write a review and if successfully approved by the mods said review would equal one "ok."

I'd like to make a comment to bring something to you ladies' attention..

I am probably the exception and not the rule, however, because of several factors (advancing age, not living in Houston, SA, or Dallas, personal work and travel schedule, etc.) I only get to hobby a couple times a year. I have also been hobbying for so long that many of the ladies I knew quite well BCD are now retired (i.e. Italia, Dianna of Dallas, Nikki of Houston, et al). Therefore, it would be impossible for me to keep an up-to-date listing of references.

For instance, I have known Sandra Michelle Bell of Houston for several year, but I have not seen her BCD in a couple of years - would her reference of me be unacceptable? I can say the same for Sweet Nicole, also of Houston. She and I correspond regularly, but I have not seen her BCD in several months. Would her reference be unacceptable.

Again, I am the exception and not the rule, but though I would love to meet, for instance, Brittney Bella, unless I am cut some slack on references - I cannot.

I also have personal issues with 411 though I know that is the easiest way to meet new providers. Therefore, what's a getting older, but very sweet, respectful and gentlemanly man to do?

What about P411 provider okays? I have a couple that are over 2 years old. Do you still consider them viable or should I delete them? Oh, I do have several P411 okays that are very recent.

Different providers have different policies. If you use a service like P411, I see no advantage to deleting older vouches, even if some providers don&#39;t honor them.

I would have to say that I prefer a reference to be from the last three months. However, that is MY preference. On P411, if you are contacting me from there and are a basic plus client, I don&#39;t care how old the references are...I figure you have been screened through P411 and have the provider OKs to back it up. My main issue is with guys that give me incomplete contact details for a lady, where I have to go look her up, to find out more, and then she sometimes doesn&#39;t remember the guy. Guys, please have her website, phone number, and handle, to provide to me and also contact her first to see if she will remember you. Making sure of that is YOUR job if you wish to see me.

Seems to me that if I got a reference from a couple of years ago, I&#39;d wonder "Why nothing more recent?" At the very least, if as a hobbyist I used such an old ref, I&#39;d want to explain why up from. There could be rational explanations, but it does raise questions.

A lot of my dates don&#39;t have the opportunity to see many ladies, so within a year is fine for me. However, I&#39;ve contacted several ladies who won&#39;t vouch for anyone after six months (as many have attested above). I&#39;d recommend any gentleman keep this in mind when supplying reference contact info to a lady he wants to see.

As an aside, I also don&#39;t accept agency references -- an agency screener can&#39;t tell me if you had bad breath, were late, complained a lot, were demanding, spent the entire date begging for BBFS, etc. I want to talk to someone who actually spent private time with you!

I don&#39;t have a length of time that I won&#39;t give a vouch. If I&#39;ve only seen them once and it was a yr ago. Then I will let
the provider seeking the vouch from me, know when I last saw the gent and how important it would be for her to
ask him for a *more recent* reference.
As folks do change over time. One&#39;s good experience might be another&#39;s nightmare. And it could be that
guys offering up old vouches might be because the more recent ones, are ladies whom he/they might
not of had a good time with. And may fear that those particular ladies won&#39;t give him a *good vouch*.

It&#39;s the same with guys seeing a lady based on OLD reviews and her not living up to the GFE
provider she might of once been. (guys want new/recent reviews). They want to know what to expect (in the now) not
what was offered in the (past).
Same goes for us ladies and vouches provided to us.
