Site management philosophy regarding "behavior bans"

Staff doesn't try to assess BCD behavior, mainly because staff doesn't have "fly on the wall" powers and in most instance such issues are most often he said/she said or she said/he said.

In any case, while outright bans for bad behavior BCD might immediately remove a predator from the community but, as easy as it is to register here, perps could be back on board way too soon.

We prefer to let a handle stay active so researchers can make informed decisions.

Outright (and repeated) community rule breaking herein, such as multiple handles, snarky or other use of board services to harass, bully, out or any etc. (major FAQ) infractions are considered in light of the member's length of time on board (the more senior the time, the less leeway in forgiveness).

All members here are required to respect the oh2 rules here and elsewhere, as well.

We intentionally have few staffers/guides and we expect all members to self-moderate and protect the community by reporting transgressors.

The above management philosophy is based on several decades in the hobbyverse, and much as folks either agree or disagree, we don't need any discussion in this thread, please.
