Is there any way to filter your list of friends such that you can only see who is online? I always liked the “Buddies List” feature on Eccie, which only shows which of your buddies is online, and was hoping we had the same ability here.

Unknown to me, but we'll do some research.

Along the bottom of the top banner, you can click on the “Quick Links” then “Open Contacts Popup” this shows your online contacts at the top.
