Since when have men ever read the instructions on anything?
Be careful what you wish for.
Lube makes sex feel so orgasmic.
I feel like there’s a stereotype that lubricant carries. Most people think of older ladies or ladies that have a vaginal dryness issue when they hear that word.
There is no question that there's a stigma about vaginal discharge and moisture/wetness. In all honesty, yes, men typically prefer a woman who doesn't need or want artificial lube. Why? They believe if she needs lube that means they are not turning her on.
Let me dispel a couple of misunderstandings about this topic and further explain where it does make sense. Yes, this is an important topic for most men b/c they find it sexy that a woman doesn't need it as it makes them feel as if she's more into it. This is especially true if they don't know her already and know that she just needs it always (such as someone who is married or frequently with a certain woman, they obviously *know* they turn her on but they also know she is a woman that simply doesn't produce much wetness).
Okay, so, first of all we cannot conclusively say that b/c a woman needs artificial lubrication that she is not horny or turned on by us. However, on the other hand, if she is significantly moist upon beginning intimate acts, touching, kissing, fondling, etc... or she begins to get moist then we *can* make a decently educated guess that she is turned on or horny.
We still cannot be conclusive about this even if she is very wet b/c some women are naturally moist and their body is simply responding the way many female bodies respond upon initiating intimate acts (that being said it is known that there is at least some psychological component to it but without knowing her normal moisture levels, having been with her many times, etc... you can't make an assumption about the psyche aspect).
The female body is designed to produce moisture which eliminates friction, making it less painful for both partners, it also increases the chance that sperm will survive their journey through the mucus and through the harsh low pH (acidic ~3.8 to 4.5 is where it should be) environment of the vagina. So, point being, it doesn't absolutely mean she is horny or turned on simply b/c she gets quite wet. It's a good indicator, particularly if you can pick up on other aspects of her behavior, but it's not conclusive without knowing her normal moisture levels. Some women are simply incredibly moist and their body is just responding the way it should (that doesn't mean *she*, in her mind, is really that turned on though). For example, some women can easily discharge over 4-5ml per day.
The other issue is that providers are a bit of a special edge case scenario vs the typical populace. Why? Because they have sex more often, even multiple times in a day. This will of course dry the vaginal walls out and will make her more prone to overall dryness, irritation, higher levels of friction, less ability to get moist in certain follow up visits during the same day, or short time span, until her body rests and recovers. This means artificial lubes will be even more necessary for many of the women who are providers or having frequent sex.
Estrogen is largely responsible for keeping the vagina moist. As a result any woman who has estrogen issues may experience vaginal dryness. That does not always mean older women. And as some in this thread have pointed out they actually became more moist when they got older. This is likely due to additional hormonal changes later in life, estrogen therapy (which some women use simply to be moist - yes it's a well known therapy to vaginal dryness), dietary changes, lifestyle changes which may include changes to drug/alcohol usage, other prescriptions, and so on.
The vagina also produces moisture from the Bartholin glands and the cervix. I've talked about the latter before and this should be well known to many, it's called CVM (cervico-vaginal-mucus).
CVM is primarily produced for the purposes of procreation. As a woman, many of you will notice a thick mucus like discharge throughout parts of your menstrual cycle when you are ovulating. It will be either clear egg white like or a milky/white creamy consistency.
The Bartholin glands also produce mucus. These are 2 small glands on the vulva, just inside, near the opening of the vagina. Upon arousal they will begin to make a mucus discharge which acts to lubricate the opening of the vagina and make entry easier with less friction.
Each woman is different and will produce more or less mucus based on her genetics, physiology, diet, stress level....
EAT THESE FOOD FOR VAGINAL HEALTH (pH) AND MOISTURE:
- Avocados and avacado oils
- Omega 3 fatty acids
- Soy
- Cranberries or cranberry juice
- Yogurt with probiotics
- Leafy greens veggies
HEALTHY MUCUS/DISCHARGE:
- Clear thick egg white consistency
- Milky or slightly creamy egg white type mixture
- Clear and watery aqueous solution
UNHEALTHY MUCUS/DISCHARGE:
- Brownish (possibly left over menstrual uterine shedding - in this case it's OK, if not then this bad)
- Reddish (possibly left over menstrual uterine shedding - in this case it's OK, if not this is not good)
- Yellowish or Greenish (NOT GOOD - probably bacterial, possibly an STI such as Trich)
- White cottage cheese like mixture (bacteriosis or yeast infection)
- Foul smell (bacterial, yeast, or STI)
I can't get wet if the guy wants to talk bcd instead of playing. Boring......
