... it appears they own quite a bit of the blame as a result of how they plan, advertise and execute their trip or simply have unrealistic expectations.
This may be true, but when their method of EXECUTING their trips brings in quality hobbyists and KEPT appts in the majority of other areas she visits, the provider is not to blame in this area. It's the hobbyists.
First, cancellations are part of the game. NCNS's suck but will happen. Manage your expectations accordingly.
Yes NCNSs are a part of the game, but most gents have the courtesy to call and cancel ahead of time. But to go to a city and have almost 95% of your visits be cancellations or NCNSs (like NOLA), just reflects the kind of hobbyists you have in town. Not necessarily the woman and her business. I travel to a lot of towns and sure...there are cancellations here & there or once in a great while--NCNSs, but for almost every appt. made in NOLA (when I was there once) to be a NCNS, cancellation, and/or donation bickering gents to occur, that is just awful. I know some ladies do well there but I hear about a lot who don't.
Placing an ad and waiting for the phone to ring is not enough.
True, but some ladies DO post in advance and don't wait til the last minute to play an ad the day before.
Things as simple as staying in the wrong hotel or part of town.
This is a good point, but when told about the hotel when given last minute instructions, the gent should tell the lady at THAT time....umm, that's really not a good area and I can't make it (rather than NCNSing.) Sometimes, even before the gent knows the location, there are cancellations. So saying she's staying in a bad part of town or wrong hotel won't fit in that situation.
Not knowing the local market (rates, minumums) or locally favored websites, etc.
This is true, but ASPD is big in NOLA and alot of the NCNS, or donation bickering/bartering gents, or cancellations come from this site.
And then things totally out of your control, like the weather, can actually have an impact.
True. I feel bad for the folks in that part of the weather map. My experience with NOLA was the year before Katrina, so I know it wasn't the economy or weather. I believe it was just a poor class of hobbyists in that area. NOTE: I am not speaking about the gents in that area who KEEP their appts., who INSIST on giving/offering cancellation fees, and pay well.....I'm speaking to those others...and you know who you are.
