The “where should I stay bs threAD!”

I know I get irritated when I see ladies post in my hometown regarding where to stay, as it seems like a marketing ploy, BUT I really do want/need suggestions for cool places to stay in and around Denver. I seek novelty and value new experiences, so if anyone could recommend some non cookie cutter chain hotels or must see places within an hour of Denver, I’d be really grateful.

Last, what is a cool city in New Mexico to stay in along the way or just right off the beaten path?
